We accept e-transfer, credit card, and many insurance plans.
At this time we can direct bill Medavie Blue Cross and Veterans Affairs Canada, and most other major insurance plans allow clients to be reimbursed for counselling/psychotherapy services. We recommend that you contact your plan administrator or insurance provider to verify that they provide coverage for psychotherapy or counselling provided by a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) based in the province of Nova Scotia. Clients are responsible for verifying their coverage and for any charges not covered by insurance.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice or miss their appointment will be billed the session fee.
If weather that is predicted or occurring is such that our office is closed, or your therapist does not feel it safe to be on the roads, all appointments for that day will be automatically converted to virtual sessions. You will be notified by email, so please ensure you have checked your inbox as well as promotions and spam/junk folders before attempting to drive to the office. If virtual sessions are not an option for you, please speak to your therapist as soon as possible in order to make alternate arrangements.
If your therapist is in the office but you do not feel you can travel safely, please inform your therapist as soon as possible (but any time up to your appointment time) and your session can be quickly switched to virtual.
Please note that our regular cancellation and no-show policies are in effect unless prior arrangements have been made.
