ADHD is not a disorder of knowing what to do. It's a disorder of doing what you know.

ADHD Support From a Therapist Who Gets It

Katrina Paruch, therapist and ADHD specialist/haver

Living with ADHD can feel like running life on “hard mode.” Whether it’s work, relationships, emotions, or the constant mental juggling act, it can be exhausting trying to keep up in a world that wasn’t built for your brain.

I specialize in ADHD—and I also live with it. So when I say I get it, I really mean it. This isn’t just textbook knowledge. It’s real-life experience paired with professional training, evidence-based tools, and a healthy dose of compassion (and humour).

What Working With Me Looks Like:

Practical Support, Without the Shame
We’ll use evidence-based strategies that actually work for your brain—while acknowledging that ADHD isn’t just about productivity hacks. It’s emotional. It’s frustrating. And sometimes it’s just plain tiring. We’ll work with your brain, not fight it.

Real-Life ADHD Understanding
Impulsivity, overwhelm, emotional regulation struggles, task paralysis, unfinished to-do lists—you don’t need to explain or justify any of it here. I know how ADHD shows up in everyday life, because I live it too.

Relationship Support (Yes, ADHD Shows Up There Too)
ADHD can impact communication, follow-through, shared responsibilities, and emotional connection. Whether you’re navigating misunderstandings, resentment, or the “why is this so hard?” moments, we’ll work toward more balance, clarity, and connection.

Goals That Don’t Require Becoming a Different Person
We’ll focus on turning your ADHD traits into strengths and creating systems that are realistic, flexible, and sustainable—helping you prioritize, manage time, and reduce overwhelm without burning out or constantly feeling behind.

Why Choose Me?

Lived Experience
This work is personal. I understand the frustration of feeling misunderstood—and the relief that comes with finally being met with empathy instead of judgment.

No Cookie-Cutter Solutions
ADHD looks different for everyone. We’ll explore how it shows up for you and build strategies that fit your life, values, and energy levels.

A Judgment-Free Space
You don’t need to mask, perform, or have it all together here. Sessions are a space to be honest, imperfect, and human—while still working toward meaningful change.

Together, we’ll untangle the challenges ADHD brings and create a path forward that feels doable, supportive, and aligned with who you are. Whether you’re navigating work, relationships, school, or personal growth, I’m here to help you build skills, confidence, and self-understanding—without expecting you to “just try harder.”

ADHD Management for All Ages

Adults

Learn ways to reduce ADHD's negative impact on your work, home, and social life through better symptom management. We strategize how to target your unique challenges and go beyond just learning techniques to learning their practical application in your individual circumstances.

Teens

Teens want to be independent, and we want that for them too! We help teens and their parents/caregivers navigate the transition of responsibility from parent to child, and work with teens to help them learn how to manage their ADHD symptoms independently. Our goal is to help teens create habits and strategies that will set them up for success and be carried with them into the future!

School-Aged Children

When it comes to school-aged children, ADHD is a family affair! These therapy sessions are for the child and at least one parent or caregiver. We work together to identify challenging areas, strategize solutions, and outline each person's role and responsibilities in those solutions. We also navigate the important gradual transition of responsibilities from parents and caregivers to the child.
